NASA’s Open Science Data Management Plans, Requirements, and Supports

Dr. Steven Crawford, NASA Science Mission Directorate’s Science Data Officer, will join us to share the latest news from NASA’s Open Science initiative.

In particular, we’ve asked him to address best practices for Open Data Management plans, a required element of proposals responded to ROSES opportunities. He will also address issues related to data archiving, and how will the model being set by Earth Sciences may be followed by other divisions and what support is offered.

If there are other aspects of open science and/or open data that you’d like discuss or to bring to attention of this community of scientists who are actively opening up their own research, we’d love to hear those things!

The 60-minute formal program will be recorded and shared on this website. The 30-minute casual conversation that follows will not be.
