NASA’s Open Science Data Management Plans, Requirements, and Supports

Dr. Steven Crawford, NASA Science Mission Directorate’s Science Data Officer, joined us to share the latest news from NASA’s Open Science initiative.

In this recording, he address best practices for Open Data Management plans, a required element of proposals responded to ROSES opportunities. He also shared an update about the structure and projects of the Office of the Chief Science Data Officer, from new data search and discovery tools to funding opportunities. Steve ended his presentation by sharing updates to NASA SMD’s Scientific Information Policy and the Open Science 101 Curriculum. The program ends with a question and answer period.
