New Tools to Find the Good in Our Archives!
Over the past year, I have been working with Reanna Putnam, Community Manager of the Association for Advancing Participatory Sciences and a longstanding member of the NASA Cit Sci Leaders Series, and Sadie Coffin, the NASA – AAPS Fellow to surface the gems in our archives. After 35 hours of video review and a host of blog posts on the AAPS website, we’re happy to announce our new archive organization here!
We’ve coded each recording into the following thematic groups:
Inspire me! Stories from the field.
Inspiring stories from inspiring leaders and projects where extraordinary things are happening, from new models of research to breakthrough collaboration styles.
How do I work with volunteers?
Practical strategies for designing projects, reaching your target and broader audiences, and supporting volunteers through inclusive communication and training.
What's different about citizen science data?
Learn about how to manage, share, and document citizen science data, from ensuring data quality and accessibility to meeting NASA’s open science requirements.
What technology is available to support my project?
Explore and learn from experts about platforms, analytics, and AI tools that can help you improve the way you design, run, and evaluate citizen science projects.
How do I get more from my project?
Strategies and examples for how to deepen engagement, support advanced volunteers, build partnerships, and see stronger science and broader impacts on your project.
Where do I find project funding?
Hear from NASA and other federal program officers about how to identify funding opportunities and how to create competitive proposals.

You can still search for your favorite talks by the speaker or by the year or season they were aired – use the search tool for this. The search tool pulls from the event description and keyword tags – give it a whirl! And feel free to contact me to suggest additional keyword tags for your favorite recordings.
I will be wrestling the event/recording descriptions into a more consistent format over the next weeks. Onward!
